Meet Ollie Fry, Electrical Apprentice

Ollie is a second-year Electrical Apprentice from Taunton. His first year was spent studying at Bridgwater College, laying the foundation for a promising career.

“Both my parents work at Hinkley Point A, so I’ve always been surrounded by stories of the Project. I knew I didn’t want a purely classroom-based approach like A levels. An apprenticeship close to home felt like the right choice for me,” said Ollie. He added: “When I first arrived on site, I thought to myself it’s crazy how big this place is. Since then, I’ve been working in the Electrical Building.”

Describing his experience with the team, Ollie said: “The team here is fantastic. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside experienced electricians who have years of experience on various projects, not just in the UK but around the world. I’ve done earthing, connected busbars, and installed brackets. Each task is a learning experience, and I’m eager to learn more.”
